Background
The search box below limits results to Alliance webpages with categories for training and documentation. This is different from the search box at the upper right, which searches both the Alliance website and files stored on the Alliance’s Shared Drive for WordPress.
Results are displayed below the search box, with initial results including all pages with either Documentation or Training categories.
Enter search terms or phrases, and adjust the training resource types and/or categories to filter the results.

Alma Brief Record Level Configuration
This document describes the current configuration and default Brief Record Level rule being used in the Alliance NZ account.
Best Practice: Syncing IZ & NZ Brief Levels for Bibliographic Records
Synchronization of IZ/NZ brief level rules will reduce troubleshooting, better prepare the Alliance for future shared/collaborative work efforts, and aligns with the Alliance’s Work Smart initiative.
Policy: Non overlay full by brief flag
Interim Policy on use of the “Do not override/merge a non-brief record with a brief version” flag in Alma import profiles
Policy: Language of Cataloging
Policy on the language of cataloging used by a cataloging agency. (Not the language of a resource.)
Policy: Activation of Community Zone (CZ) Collection for Ebrary Academic Complete Subscription
It is Alliance policy that all libraries activate the Ebrary Academic Complete collection in Alma’s Community Zone (CZ). In order to achieve efficient maintenance of this consortial resource, libraries should activate the CZ collection, which will then receive updates as the collection is improved.
Policy: Contributing Collections to the CZ
Policy for contributing collections to Alma’s Community Zone (CZ) and editing CZ bibliographic records.
Policy: Cataloging of Titles on Electronic Readers
This policy will enable the Alliance to limit issues from cataloging of titles on electronic readers.
Policy: Bound-withs
Alliance libraries must use the standard method of creating bound-withs in Alma to ensure linking information is stored in the IZ and immune from overlay.
Policy: Level of PCC Contribution
This policy establishes expectations of contributions from members of the Alliance who are also members of the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC).
Policy: Provider-Neutral Records
Following the national standard in using provider-neutral records reduces user confusion over multiple instances of a title in the catalog and leads to better discoverability, while saving time and money.
- Documentation
- Documentation is primarily text based, but it can incorporate screen captures and other images.
- Training
- Training includes video, audio, recorded sessions, and other resources that demonstrate a principle or process.
The option "Documentation & Training" will return webpages in either category.
