Alliance member institutions have access to discounts on the following optional subscription products.

DataCite Fabrica

Fabrica is a web interface to create, find, connect and track DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers). By joining as an organization within the Alliance consortium, members save 2000€ annually on membership fees. See the DataCite Fee Model for details.

LibKey

Third Iron’s LibKey suite provides one-click access to full text on Primo, library databases, and publisher websites to “Help avoid needless clicks, broken links, retracted articles, paywalls and other barriers.”

Meescan

Meescan provides self-check systems and accompanying kiosks and mobile apps. Member libraries receive a discount on the annual Meescan license. In addition, each location that purchases before December 31, 2025 will receive a one-time credit on equipment purchases.

OpenAthens

An alternative to IP-based proxy services, OpenAthens provides single sign-on access to resources directly from vendor platforms, without the need for special links from the library.

Article Galaxy Scholar (AGS) is an innovative platform that provides quick and easy access to scholarly content from over 33,000 journals. AGS offers a comprehensive on-demand solution that helps libraries fill gaps in their collections, prioritize open access content, simplify workflows, monitor budgets, and improve the user experience for patrons.

Alliance libraries can opt into Article Galaxy Scholar under one of two models:

  • A one-time charge freemium model, accompanied by a service fee for each document delivered, in addition to copyright royalties or purchase costs, and applicable sales tax.
  • An annual Premium license model, also featuring a small fee for each document delivered, alongside copyright royalties or purchase costs.
