Alma Network Zone Licensing Test - Starts April 11th!

Starting Monday, April 11th, patrons in your libraries will be able to view their interlibrary loan, coursepacks, and more rights when discovering the Alliance's DDA titles in their Primo searches.

This is a result of a test by the Shared Content Team's Consortial Alma Collection Development Working Group, which is examining the use of the Alma Network Zone to create efficiencies for managing electronic resources.

The first area of examination is the coding and display of license terms, so the Alliance's ProQuest license is now coded in the Alma NZ. On Monday, it will be linked to the Ebook Library collection of titles in the NZ.

License terms only appear in Primo if configured locally in Alma to display. You can turn the terms on (or off) in your Alma IZ "Acquisitions configuration" menu:
  • Under "Licenses," Select "Manage License Terms"
  • Identify fields you want to display to your patrons
  • Select "Yes" from the drop down menu for that field
Questions or feedback about the test can be directed to either Corey Murata (murata@uw.edu) or Kathi Fountain (kfountain@orbiscascade.org).
