Strategic Agenda Initiatives Proposed

The Alliance Board and Council are beginning the process to review, prioritize, and assign workgroups to the strategic initiatives proposed by the various committees and teams. The Collaborative Technical Services Team (CTST) has submitted its recommendations for consideration. Please check them out!

E-Resources Holdings in OCLC

The Collaborative Technical Services Team members have been contacted by library staff C1 and C2 and alerted them to the challenges of maintaining holdings in OCLC for e-resources post-migration. The Alliance mandates that libraries keep their OCLC holdings current. Regardless, we are aware that libraries are waiting for Alma functionality to improve this process. At this point, we advise libraries to make local decisions regarding the extent to which they maintain OCLC e-resource holdings until that Alma functionality is in place.

New Alliance Website Launch Expected Soon

Since before my time, the Alliance staff have been busily planning to launch a new website with a new content management system. With that will come a complete professional site redesign. We expect to launch in early March. In the meanwhile, we are madly migrating content.
