Come join your Alliance colleagues for a scintillating day's discussions of shared content and technical services. You”ll learn practical approaches and tips & tricks of the academic library trades. It will be a worthwhile day away from your institution and provide you with ample time to network with your Alliance collaborators. It's a day not to miss--we look forward to seeing you there! - Attendance is capped at 100, with spots allocated to each institution based on their FTE as reported to the Alliance.
Using Alma Analytics for Collections, with Ann Miller (UO)
Ann”s keynote will explore how we can synthesize Alma Analytics with other data visualization tools such as Tableau public to evaluate and make more data driven decisions about our collections.

Ever wonder what day-to-day work in the Network Zone looks like? Join Network Zone Manager Lesley Lowery for a tour of routine maintenance work in the NZ, including a look at the processes that control record imports and publishing to Primo. Questions are welcome!

Alma Analytics for Weeding, with Tami Wilkerson (OHSU)
How to extract and manipulate Alma data for weeding projects: the OHSU experience. Licensing Shared Content for the Alliance, with Jesse Holden (Alliance) What do licenses and pricing models mean within our consortium, and why do they matter? Program Manager Jesse Holden will discuss approaches and implications for Alliance content acquisition, including the role of the new E-Content Group as well as opportunity for a general conversation about licensing. Update from the Ebook Working Group Come hear about the status of the Alliance Ebook program for 2018-9 and highlights of what was accomplished by the Ebook Standing Group in 2017-8. There will also be time for questions and discussion with attendees.
Members of the Cataloging Standing Group will discuss the results of the recent survey they conducted regarding usage of faceted vocabularies in cataloging and implementation of their associated facets in Primo, across the Alliance. They will also articulate next steps, as informed by the survey, including but not limited to training materials and best practice guidelines for Alliance catalogers around these vocabularies.
