Dana Bostrom is the Executive Director of the Orbis Cascade Alliance, joining in May 2016. A Northwest native, she returned to Oregon after years in the Washington, D.C. area. Based out of the Association of American Medical Colleges, she served as Executive Director of Data Commons, a data sharing company founded by 6 non-profit organizations, and product director for a software system supporting documentation of physician competency.
Prior to working in the D.C. area, Dana worked in university technology transfer at the University of Washington, University of California Berkeley and Portland State University. At these west coast universities, she led efforts to enable greater usage of university-developed intellectual property, supported a business incubator in Portland, and developed university - industry relationships.
Dana holds a B.A. from the University of Puget Sound, a M.A. from Colorado State University, and a M.L.I.S from the University of Washington.
