Forming Names According to RDA Webinars from SAA Available: Limited Seats!
The Alliance's Dublin Core Best Practices require creators and contributors to be formed according to Resource Description and Access (RDA). If you create metadata for any type of unique collections, these webinars are for you!Back to Blog
The webinars are recordings to watch anytime created by Katherine Wisser of Simmons College. They cover principles of RDA for names and then walk through examples of common situations: personal names, corporate names, government agency names, families. If you've ever wanted to bolster your knowledge of Asian name forms or Icelandic name succession, that's here too. See the SAA website for full descriptions of Part 1 and Part 2.
Each webinar is 90 minutes, and you may take a short online exam to receive a certificate from SAA
Best of all, they are free for Alliance members! Current price for both of these webinars is $218.
The webinars are also a prerequisite and complement for the RDA for Names workshop, which will interactively cover other examples and thorny situations.
We have 30 seats available, first-come, first-served. Register here, and you'll receive further information on how to access the webinars through SAA's online delivery system.
