items from last week's meeting as well as adopted meeting minutes for October. Have a look and see what Council is working on these days. Please feel free to contact your Council member or me if you have any questions. |

| Committees are just getting started. Steering Teams for the Summit Borrowing Committee and Electronic Resources Committee will have their first meetings soon. The SBC Steering Team meets February 6, 2004, and the ERC Steering Team is working to find a good meeting date. | ||

| Interest Groups | ||
| Two interest groups have been approved and will get started soon: Music Interest Group, facilitated by Leslie Bennett at UO; Science Interest Group facilitated by John Repplinger at Willamette Univ. | ||
| Task Forces | ||
| Two new task forces have been formed, and appointments will be set very soon: Summit Catalog and Collection Management. The existing task force is the Regional Library Services Center Task Force. | ||
| Data for Local Communities | ||
| Tom Stave and Lori Robare from the UO visited with Council to demonstrate the recently finished Data for Local Communities site. This project is an outgrowth of a Government Documents Committee and funded by LSTA. | ||
| Summit Borrowing Statistics | ||
| Summit continues to be a big hit. Summit Borrowing stats are up 29% over the combined Orbis & Cascade totals for the same period last year and the fill rate is up to 93%. Well done to those of you pulling and shipping all those books! | ||
