The Council adopted the following motion at the October 2005 meeting:

"Kelley moved that Council members make a commitment to talk with their staff about expanding the materials available for lending via Summit Borrowing."

Since that meeting, several members have started loaning more via Summit. The following information is the latest available. Last updated: October 12, 2007

New codes and updated mapping : Members have contacted Alliance staff to add and update parameters for Summit Borrowing:

• Seattle U : Video DVD's and videotapes at Lemieux (main) library, November 8 2005
• Southern Oregon U: Videos, November 8 2005
• Western Oregon U: audio CD's, audio cassettes, software, and certain non-general monographs (K-12 curriculum collection) , November 9 2005
• George Fox U: CD's and DVD's, March 16 2006
• U of Oregon: CD-ROM's, Apr 20 2006

Changing records to use existing codes and mapping : Members are changing the "non-requestable" code for some materials to another code already set up to allow requesting through Summit. Alliance staff do not need to be involved but are available to consult for options, advice, etc. Recent actions we know of:

• Clark : about 400 additional selected videos, Jan. 2006-
• UW: Children's Literature, Aug.-Sept. 2006
• EOU: Genealogy
• Reed: (uncertain - plans for audio ? reported in 2005)
