(1) Max ILL: Related to INNOPAC ILL product, which individual members may or may not use. Institutions have individual policies regarding ILL for some or all patron types. Okay for value in local table to differ from pattern in this table.

PATRON AGENCY: The 999 wildcard means any PAT AGENCY values not specifically mentioned further up in the table. This entry should be last in the table. If your site has not obtained the PAT AGENCY field from III, use the value 999.

Notes from original setup:

·  If a local site blocks certain categories of patrons (e.g., community borrowers) from placing holds on local items, their local Automatic Patron Block table will have "0" in the "MHOLDS" column.

·  Community borrowers do not currently have Summit borrowing privileges. If a person in this category should request a Summit item, instead of recieving the "you cannot borrow over Summit" statement, the community borrower receives the "there is a problem with your record" statement. This is because the local Automatic Patron Block table is checked as soon as the patron identifies herself with the specific institution. Finding a block on holds, Summit is unable to continue the transaction (since a Summit request automatically places a hold on the item), and provides the same statement it would provide for any other blocked record, or problem with patron record information.

PTYPES 205, 235:  PType codes 205 and 235 for visiting patron discontinued with policy to use automated Visiting Patron exclusively, and no longer manually add patron records for patrons visiting from other Alliance member institutions.
