Summit Catalog Committee Duplicate Record Reduction Working Group |
Charge and Membership
This group will develop technical, policy, and workflow recommendations to prevent and eliminate duplicate bibliographic records and implement those recommendations. This group will produce a brief report with recommendations for action by Feb. 1, 2007. It will implement those actions approved by SCC in spring 2007.
The working groups are composed of individuals nominated by the Summit Catalog Committee representatives of Alliance institutions; a list of working group members is posted on the SCC web page. Each working group has a liaison who is also a member of the SCC Steering Team. The Steering Team liaisons will be responsible for initially convening the working groups and communicating with the Steering Team about their ongoing progress. Working groups are free to appoint a leader who is different from their liaison to the Steering Team.
Working Group leader: Friday Valentine
Steering Team liaison: Michael Boock.
