The Education and Curriculum Materials Interest Group was established April 2004 to address issues related to information, instructional, and collections services in support of the field of education, including K-12 teacher, counselor, and administrator education. It provides a forum for discussion of academic library services and collections unique to the support of teacher education programs, including K-12 instructional materials (aka, curriculum materials) and children's and young adult literature. This Interest Group would build on the foundation of years of experience that regional education librarians have had with informal meetings and discussions that used to occur annually at the ERIC Clearinghouse for Educational Management at the University of Oregon (now defunct). |
