Instruction Interest GroupFacilitator: Allen McKiel, Western Oregon University, mckiela@wou.edu The Instruction Interest Group provides a forum for discussion and development of training opportunities related to information literacy instruction, including assessment of student learning and assessment and improvement of instruction for librarians. The Instruction Interest Group is currently focused on the formation of a framework for ongoing cooperative creation of information literacy tutorials. The focus is aimed at accomplishment of three objectives: first, to provide an administrative framework for cooperative development and maintenance of tutorials; second, creation of an initial set of standards for the use of technology in the production of tutorials; and third, the provision of an initial set of open source information literacy tutorials.
