Listserv

There are three (3) lists that support the work of the Electronic Resources Committee and is open to all staff at member institutions.  A protocol for the subject line has been created (the item titled “listname” is automatically inserted by the listserv program):

            [listname] FYI-VENDOR NEWS (for those items that are from vendors – updates, schedule changes, access issues, etc.)

            [listname] FYI-NEWS (for other types of information that is of interest to the group)

            [listname] **Response Requested** (for those items requiring attention, usually renewals)

            [listname] **New Product**

            [listname] **Renewal Processed** (for those purchases that have been completed)

 

Renewals

Renewal of resources does not cover changes of vendors.  In order to change vendors, the Committee may wish to review the resource, as it is offered by other vendors, up to six months prior to renewal. Central staff handles renewals according to a renewal calendar, also linked from the website. 

Licensing issues

Not all resources are centrally licensed.  You may wish to review some licensing documentation also located at the website.
