Visiting Patron information

Students, faculty, and staff who are currently enrolled or employed at Alliance institutions may have borrowing privileges when they visit other Alliance libraries. This "Visiting Patron" service includes borrowing materials from generally circulating collections and making Summit requests. You may not request materials through Interlibrary Loan. As a Visiting Patron you are responsible for understanding and abiding by the policies of that library. The library you are visiting will create a record in their database for your use. At that time you will be asked to log in to your home library account to prove your current enrollment or employment. (It might be helpful to be sure you can log in before you leave your home library.) Many libraries also ask for photo ID from your home institution, both when creating the record and at each checkout. The following table includes information to help you contact your home institution if you encounter problems logging in.
