Music Interest GroupFacilitator: Leslie Bennett, University of Oregon, lbennett@uoregon.eduThe Music Interest Group was established January 2004 to address music concerns in both the shared catalog, as well as in collection development issues, such as joint-purchase music resources and shared collections. It is initially based on the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Music Library Association, which has a mix of academic and public libraries-and every member whose library is part of the Orbis Cascade Alliance has also signed up for the Music Interest Group. Our hope is that our knowledge will help some of the schools in their discussion of music access issues and shared collection development. The Music IG will be evaluated in October 2008.
