Review of ERC meeting agenda The notes below indicate specific items discussed, added, or elaborated from the April 21 agenda. Not all agenda items are mentioned here, but they remain on the agenda.
Welcome *New committee and steering team members will be introduced.
ICOLC *Will include reports on e-archiving, scholarly communication & open access.
E-resources in Review *2005-2006 *Brief overview, including list of products not (yet?) put to the committee for consideration.
E-journal packages *Review of past and new ACS subscription details *Possibly something specific from Cambridge *Blackwell probably DOA under current terms
Lunch *Current and new steering team members will meet over lunch.
E-books *Carrie will send out questions to ERC before meeting; discussion will follow according to the responses. *We will have a discussion among the committee, not a presentation on particular packages or practices.
Usage statistics *Tim will survey the committee before the meeting on practices and concerns. *Possible questions include How do people use usage statistics from databases? Are statistics used for more more than evaluating whether to cancel? How do people collect, store, manage statistics? *Diane's presentation will be about 10 minutes
Open discussion *No planned questions or structure. *May include discussion of the timing/process of renewals and/or new products.
Dinner *Not enough people expressed interest in meeting the night before the meeting. *Greg will finalize plans for gathering after the meeting and let the committee know before April 21. 2. Future ERC-ST Phone Calls The steering team will have a call on May 17 and possibly June 21.
