Courier Program |
Courier ProgramThe Courier Program originated in service that began in October of 2000 which followed service that had started in 1998 and ended June 9, 2000. To follow all the history, please see History and Reports.Current Courier service is offered as a membership subscription program, with a fixed price for the entire year. The cost is billed annually at the beginning of the fiscal year (July through June). There is a one-time fee of $500 to purchase a supply of reuseable courier bags and is paid by each Dropsite. In addition, there is a start-up/service change fee of $350 paid by each Dropsite. This fee applies for any new service, change in service or service canceled then started anew. Change in service can also be addition or removal of participating institutions and/or change between days of service (from 5-day to 2-day or 2-day to 5-day). For current annual price, please see the Courier Membership page. Alliance also offers an optional service for 2 days a week, which may be appropriate for some libraries. Contact Orbis Cascade Alliance to discuss starting or changing courier service, and for forms to begin service.
