The Collection Management Task Force
(CMTF) is asked to advise Council on concrete and achievable steps the
Alliance might undertake to further the development and use of member library
collections as a unified collection. Recommendations should place an emphasis
on practical tests, pilot projects, or other actions judged most likely to
succeed in the near term. Toward this end, the Task Force is asked to review
collection management initiatives among other groups of libraries (consortia,
state systems, loose affiliations, distributed institutions, etc.) In addition, the Task Force is asked to advise Council on any other aspects of consortial collection management that may require or benefit from membership involvement over the next 12 months. |
| Reporting |
The Task Force is asked to issue a
report by June 1, 2004 for consideration at Council's July meeting. |
