Accreditation Document Task Force |
| Charge: | Charge adapted from April 26, 2006 email message from John Popko, Alliance
Chair: Prepare and offer to our members a standardized text that summarizes what the Alliance is, what resources we represent, what services we offer, and especially how these resources and services complement a local library collection. It would be written specifically to fit the standards and language of the Northwest Commission. Each member should be able to use this text verbatim or adapt and elaborate as desired. This approach could help ensure that a consistently accurate presentation of the Alliance was being projected to internal and external audiences, allowing us to shape how we are described and used in self-studies. And the same standardized text could be used, or adapted, to other program review or accreditation reports prepared on behalf of any of our institution's academic programs. |
| Deadlines: | Progress report for Executive Committee meeting in May and
Council's meeting in July 2006. Present a final document, or package of
materials, to Council for endorsement at the October 2006
meeting. |
